Ole Christiansen

Ole Christiansen.

Born 1955 and professional since 1980. Established himself as a music photographer over the 1980ies and is now one of Denmark’s most estimated photographers.

He is well known for his frontpage photos for the magazine Euroman, his portraits of Leonard Cohen, Iggy Pop, Yoko Ono a.o. as well as the many record covers he has shot for artists like Sort Sol, TV2, and many others. His visual signature is unique and distinguished by the use of blending light sources and an extremely graphic look. Ole explores the face, like a landscape, and uses the light sources to emphasize the character of the person.

His pictures are represented at:
Det Nationalhistoriske Museum, Frederikborg Slot, Hillerød
Det Kongelige Bibliotek, København
Museet for Fotokunst, Brandts Klædefabrik, Odense
